JIMS Rohini Hosts ‘HR NexGen Summit 2025’ with PHDCCI

New Delhi, Nov 28: JIMS Rohini successfully organised the “HR NexGen Summit 2025” in association with PHDCCI at PHD House, New Delhi. Centred around the theme People, Purpose, and Performance, the summit brought together senior HR leaders, industry experts, and management students for an enriching exchange of insights on the evolving world of work. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Pooja Jain, Director, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, who highlighted the institute’s commitment to creating learning environments that bridge academia with industry practice.

The inaugural session featured distinguished speakers whose viewpoints were drawn from real organisational experiences. Mr. Anil Ghoshal, Director–HR, PHDCCI, emphasised the need for organisations to consistently reflect their core values in everyday actions to build credibility. Mr. Yogesh Munjal, Chairman & Managing Director, Munjal Showa Ltd and Chief Guest, shared his company’s growth journey and underscored the role of collaboration and trusted relationships in sustaining long-term performance. Mr. Dharm Rakshit, Head HR, Hero Motocorp and Guest of Honour, highlighted the critical difference between reacting and responding in dynamic work environments and stressed the importance of agility in learning. Mr. Satya Jha, Partner & Chief Business Officer, GT Bharat, discussed emerging skill gaps around data literacy, digital awareness, and trust-building, noting the rising need for professionals who can adapt with speed and sound judgment.

The first panel session focused on the realities of skill readiness. Mr. Harsh Raj Jain, Acquisition Head APAC & Americas & India Campus Head, Ebix, spoke about the importance of intentional technology use, while Mr. Atish Bhattacharya, Head HR, Somany Ceramics Ltd, shared workplace anecdotes demonstrating how adaptability and people skills remain central to early career success. Dr. Amit Pareenja, Head L&D, Somany Impresa Group, offered insights into decision-making shaped by small but powerful mindset shifts. Mr. Rajesh Popli, Assistant Director – HR, EY, reinforced the expectation for young professionals to be confident, flexible, and digitally equipped to keep pace with industry demands.

The second session centred on trust, behaviour, and organisational preparedness. Ms. Sudhi Chaudhry, Solution Design Head  HRO, Wipro, emphasised the rise of human-centric leadership and its role in building inclusive cultures. Mr. Amit Sharma, Head HR, Greystar, addressed workplace uncertainties around remote work and rapid technological shifts, stressing trust as a shared responsibility. Mr. Amit Mathur, Assistant Vice President  HR, Infinity Labs India, discussed the widening gap between technological change and organisational response, urging learners to hold on to purpose and continuous learning. Mr. Rahul Sachdeva, Senior Manager – Corporate HR, Kajaria Ceramics Ltd, concluded the session with insights on unlearning, collaboration, and active engagement with organisational systems.

A skit by members of the HR Club  Samanvay added vibrancy to the summit, depicting the evolution of HR from the industrial era to the era of AI, drawing appreciation for its message on humanising workplaces.

The summit concluded with an experiential activity led by Mr. Sahil Nayar, TEDx Speaker and HR Leader known for his work on workplace behaviour and culture. Participants were challenged to complete full decks of playing cards without speaking, revealing valuable lessons on collaboration, clarity, and navigating diverse teams.

The HR NexGen Summit 2025 offered a cohesive, practice-driven perspective on the future of work. It equipped students with meaningful exposure to contemporary organisational thinking and encouraged them to approach their careers with adaptability, purpose, and an informed outlook.
