Puri, June 4 (UDN): Strengthening law enforcement infrastructure across Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art police station building at Talabania in Puri and launched multiple police infrastructure projects across the state with a total investment of ₹195 crore.

 

The newly constructed Talabania Police Station is equipped with modern facilities aimed at enhancing policing efficiency, improving public service delivery, and ensuring a better working environment for police personnel. The initiative forms part of the state government’s broader efforts to modernize policing infrastructure and strengthen public safety mechanisms.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to building a technologically advanced and citizen-friendly police system capable of meeting emerging security challenges. He emphasized that modern infrastructure, coupled with improved resources and technology, would significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the police force.

The statewide projects include the construction and upgradation of police stations, residential facilities for personnel, administrative buildings, and other critical infrastructure aimed at improving law enforcement services across urban and rural areas.

The Chief Minister noted that robust policing infrastructure is essential for maintaining law and order, ensuring public confidence, and supporting the state’s development agenda. He expressed confidence that the newly launched projects would contribute to more efficient policing and faster response to public needs.

Senior police officials, public representatives, and government functionaries attended the inauguration ceremony, marking another significant step towards the modernization of Odisha Police and the strengthening of the state’s security framework.
