According to temple sources, the one-day verification will cover ornaments adorning the Sri Anga (sacred body) of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, along with the jewellery brought out for ceremonial use during the Snana Purnima rituals.

Officials said the counting and verification process will be conducted under strict security arrangements and in line with the prescribed guidelines to ensure transparency and proper documentation.

The inventory of ornaments housed inside the inner Ratna Bhandar will not be undertaken during this phase. Temple authorities said a separate schedule for counting and verifying those valuables will be announced after the necessary preparations and administrative decisions are completed.

The inventory exercise had remained on hold since May 23, following the completion of an earlier phase. The resumption of the process is part of the temple administration’s ongoing effort to create a comprehensive and authenticated record of the ornaments belonging to the deities.

The Ratna Bhandar, the treasury of the Shree Jagannath Temple, preserves centuries-old gold ornaments, silver articles and other precious valuables associated with the deities. The inventory of these treasures has drawn significant public attention, with devotees and stakeholders closely following the progress of the exercise.
