Dec 24 :- Design Innovation Center, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee organized an Awareness Session on ‘MSME Innovative Scheme’: Industry-Academia Interface in collaboration with Department of Design, IIT Roorkee; Development and Facilitation Office , Haldwani; and Sigaddi Growth Center, IIE SIDCUL, Kotdwar at SIDCUL, Kotdwar.

The core objective of this scheme is to bring the Indian manufacturing sector and Design expertise/ Design fraternity onto a common platform. The scheme aims to provide expert advice by experienced designers for cost-effective solutions of real-time design problems, new product development, its continuous improvement and value addition in existing/new products.
Prof. Inderdeep Singh, Dean, Infrastructure and Coordinator, Design Innovation Center, IIT Roorkee, coordinated the event and shared the details of the MSME Innovative Scheme to the participants from MSME units and other government organization. Dr. S. K. Newar, Joint Director & Head of Office, Development and Facilitation Office (DFO-MSME), Haldwani & Dehradun; Sh. Amit Mohan, Assistant Director, Development and Facilitation Office Haldwani; Sh. Sunny Chauhan, Regional Manager, SIDCUL Kotdwar; Sh. Som Nath Garg, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Pauri; and Officials from Food Corporation of India, Regional Office Dehradun; THDC India Limited; EPFO, Regional Office Dehradun were present during the event. Additionally, representatives from the various regional industries and MSME units were benefitted from the discussion during the event.
