Bhubaneswar, June 16: Reiterating the state government’s commitment to youth welfare and employment generation, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated that empowering young people and fulfilling their aspirations remain among the highest priorities of the government.
Highlighting the achievements of the past two years, the Chief Minister said that thousands of young men and women have secured government jobs through transparent, merit-based, and technology-driven recruitment processes. He emphasized that the government is working consistently to create greater opportunities for the youth across various sectors.
The Chief Minister further noted that initiatives are underway to enhance the upper age limit for government jobs, strengthen skill development infrastructure, and expand opportunities in the sports sector. The government is also focusing on accelerating industrialization to generate employment opportunities for local youth within their own regions.
According to the Chief Minister, the state’s development is closely linked to the progress of its youth. He stressed that creating avenues for education, skill enhancement, entrepreneurship, and employment is essential for building a prosperous and self-reliant Odisha.
The government remains committed to transforming the energy, talent, and aspirations of the younger generation into a driving force for economic growth and social progress. Through sustained investments in human capital and industry, Odisha aims to emerge as a model of inclusive and youth-led development.
The remarks come as the state marks two years of the “Lokanka Sarkar” initiative, highlighting achievements in youth empowerment, employment generation, and skill development.
