Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 (UDN): On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, Prithiviraj Harichandan extended his heartfelt greetings to the people and called upon everyone to uphold the values of compassion, empathy and service towards humanity.

He said that the true spirit of humanity lies in people standing by one another, extending support in times of need and showing empathy towards those facing hardship. Being a source of strength for someone in distress, offering a helping hand during difficult circumstances and inspiring hope among those who feel discouraged are responsibilities that every member of society must embrace.

“Humanity is reflected not merely in words, but in our willingness to stand beside others in their hour of need. Compassion, respect and service can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us,” he said.

Prithiviraj Harichandan urged citizens to use the occasion to strengthen the spirit of mutual respect, kindness and cooperation and to work towards building a more caring, inclusive and compassionate society.

He also emphasised that collective efforts rooted in empathy and social responsibility can help create a stronger community where no one feels alone in times of adversity.

On World Humanitarian Day, he appealed to everyone to make compassion a part of everyday life and contribute towards a society guided by the values of humanity, dignity and solidarity.
