The city woke up to a thick blanket of fog, creating a distinctly wintry atmosphere as roads, trees, residential areas and buildings remained partially hidden behind the mist. The fog also obscured the city skyline, transforming the familiar urban landscape into a scenic winter setting.
Reduced visibility during the morning hours affected road movement to some extent, with commuters facing difficulties while navigating busy stretches across the city. Motorists were required to remain cautious as visibility remained considerably low in several areas.
Despite the inconvenience, the foggy morning offered a picturesque view of the capital. Many residents enjoyed the pleasant weather, while the mist-covered surroundings provided a glimpse of the winter season approaching.
The occurrence of fog comes as Odisha transitions from autumn towards winter, with temperatures gradually declining.
With winter conditions beginning to set in, foggy mornings may become more frequent across Bhubaneswar and other parts of the state in the coming days. Commuters are advised to drive carefully during early morning hours and maintain adequate distance from other vehicles.
