Bhadrak, Aug. 21 (UDN): A coordinated rescue operation by the district administration, ODRAF and NDRF teams successfully evacuated a 70-year-old man from flood-affected Nuabandh village under Tihidi block in Odisha’s Bhadrak district.

The man, identified as Babaji Das, was surrounded by floodwaters and unable to move to a safer location. Acting swiftly on the situation, the administration deployed trained rescue personnel to reach the affected area.

The joint efforts of the administration, ODRAF and NDRF teams ensured that Babaji Das was safely brought out of the flood-affected zone and moved to a secure location.

The successful rescue highlights the preparedness, coordination and prompt response of the disaster management machinery during the ongoing flood situation.
