Bhubaneswar, Sept. 21 (UDN): A newly introduced glass-fronted leopard enclosure at Nandankanan Zoological Park has emerged as a new attraction for visitors, offering wildlife enthusiasts an opportunity to observe two leopards from close range while maintaining a safe separation.

The enclosure has been designed with an open setting aimed at providing the animals with space to move naturally. A glass barrier separates the leopards from visitors, allowing people to watch their activities without directly entering the animals’ space.

Visitors Get Closer Look At Leopards

The new facility has been drawing attention from visitors, particularly wildlife enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse of the big cats.

Unlike traditional enclosures, the glass-fronted design provides a relatively unobstructed view of the animals while maintaining a physical barrier between the visitors and the leopards.

The open layout also provides the animals with adequate space for movement, while the viewing arrangement is designed to ensure the safety of both wildlife and visitors.

Two Leopards Housed In Enclosure

According to Nandankanan Deputy Director Pradipta Meher, two leopards are currently housed in the new enclosure.

The facility has added another attraction to the zoological park and is expected to offer visitors a different viewing experience. The glass barrier enables close observation of the leopards while keeping the animals and the public safely separated.

The new enclosure also highlights the importance of creating visitor facilities that allow people to observe wildlife without disrupting the animals’ surroundings and behaviour.
