New Delhi: The National Career Service (NCS) portal has become a key digital platform for improving employment access in India, with more than 6.64 crore jobseekers registering on the platform since its launch. The portal has also helped mobilise over 10.05 crore job vacancies, strengthening the connection between job seekers and employers across sectors.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment said the NCS portal has evolved into a comprehensive employment platform, offering services such as job search, career counselling, vocational guidance, skill development information, and access to government and private sector opportunities.

Currently, around 2.89 crore active jobseekers are registered on the platform, while employers continue to use the portal to identify and recruit suitable candidates. The platform helps bridge the gap between available talent and workforce requirements by providing personalised job recommendations based on candidates’ skills, qualifications, and experience.

The portal has been upgraded with advanced technology features, including AI-powered job matching, skill-gap analysis, personalised career recommendations, multilingual support, and improved verification systems, making employment services more efficient and accessible.

The government has also partnered with more than 40 organisations, including leading companies and employment platforms, to expand job opportunities for candidates. The NCS portal is integrated with key government platforms such as Skill India Digital Hub, eShram, Udyam, EPFO, ESIC, and DigiLocker to create a wider employment support network.

Through digital innovation and wider industry participation, the National Career Service portal is helping jobseekers discover opportunities, improve their skills, and connect with employers, contributing to the growth of India’s workforce and employment ecosystem.
