Firecracker Shop Sealed In Gajapati After Permit Documents Allegedly Not Produced

Paralakhemundi, Sept. 17 (UDN): Police sealed a firecracker shop on Ranipentha Road in Paralakhemundi, Gajapati district, on Thursday after the owner allegedly failed to produce valid documents required for storing and selling firecrackers.

Police Conduct Raid

According to reports, police raided the establishment following allegations of unauthorised firecracker sales. During the inspection, officials checked the stock of firecrackers and other explosive materials along with licences, permits and related documents.

A substantial quantity of firecrackers and explosive materials was reportedly seized during the operation and taken into police custody.

Documents Under Scrutiny

Officials examined the paperwork relating to the storage and sale of the materials. As the shop owner could not reportedly produce valid documents during the inspection, the premises were sealed.

Police are now verifying the seized stock and examining the circumstances under which the materials were stored at the establishment.
