Bhadrak, Oct 10 (UDN): Bhadrak Women’s College has been closed indefinitely following tension and student agitation over the cancellation of the students’ union elections, prompting the college authorities to suspend regular academic activities until further notice.
According to an official notification issued by the Principal’s office, the decision comes after the cancellation of the student union polls on October 8. The authorities noted that protests and unrest involving different student groups had disturbed the peaceful academic environment on the campus.
In view of the prevailing situation, the college has been declared closed from October 10 until further orders.
Academic Activities Suspended
As per the notification, teaching and classroom activities, along with most administrative operations, will remain suspended during the closure. Essential services will continue to function, as specified by the college authorities.
The administration has urged students to maintain peace and cooperate with the authorities to prevent any further disruption on the campus.

Students have been advised to regularly check the college’s official WhatsApp group and notice board for updates regarding the reopening of the institution and any further instructions.
The closure will remain in force until the authorities issue a fresh order.
