Bhubaneswar, Aug. 3 (UDN): The Odisha Higher Education Department has revised the Phase-I Undergraduate (UG) Admission Schedule for the 2026–27 academic session in view of the prevailing flood situation affecting several parts of the state.

The department said the decision was taken to ensure that students from flood-affected districts are not inconvenienced during the admission process and are provided adequate time to complete the required formalities.

Students seeking admission to undergraduate courses have been advised to check the revised admission timeline and complete all admission-related activities, including document verification, reporting and fee payment, within the stipulated deadlines.

Officials said the updated schedule has been made available through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal and other official communication channels. Candidates are urged to regularly monitor official notifications for any further updates regarding the admission process.

The Higher Education Department reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent admission process despite the challenges posed by the flood situation. Institutions across the state have also been instructed to facilitate admissions in accordance with the revised schedule.

The department appealed to students and parents to adhere to the updated timelines to avoid any inconvenience during the ongoing Phase-I admission process for the 2026–27 academic year.
