Patna, Aug 3: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna warmly welcomed its newly admitted students with “Freshers’ Carnival 2026,” a vibrant celebration designed to introduce the incoming batch to the institute’s culture of academic excellence, creativity, and holistic development.
The event commenced with the inaugural address by Prof. Dr. Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, who extended a heartfelt welcome to the new students. In his inspiring address, he encouraged them to actively engage in academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities while upholding the values and discipline of the institution. He motivated students to make the most of their time at CIMP and prepare themselves for successful professional careers.
The carnival showcased a rich cultural programme highlighting the diverse talents of the students. The celebrations began with an energetic welcome dance by the group “Beautiful Minds,” followed by a mesmerizing flute recital by Manish Riju. The audience was further entertained by a series of solo, duet, and group performances featuring students including Anand, Supriya, Aditi, Riya Krishna, and several others.
A major attraction of the event was the Mr. & Miss Fresher 2026 competition. Participants displayed confidence, creativity, and personality during the fashion show before appearing for an interactive panel round conducted by Prof. Santosh, Prof. Nitish, and Prof. Rajni. Following a keenly contested competition, Nabeel Ahmed was declared Mr. Fresher 2026, while Khushi Kumari was crowned Miss Fresher 2026. The winners were felicitated by Director Prof. Dr. Rana Singh, followed by a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony marking the beginning of their journey at CIMP.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the newly crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher, who expressed their gratitude to the Director, faculty members, judges, the Cultural Committee, and all participants for making the event a memorable success.
The Freshers’ Carnival reflected CIMP’s commitment to nurturing leadership, creativity, and a vibrant campus culture while providing new students with an opportunity to build friendships and begin their academic journey with enthusiasm and confidence.
