Gandhinagar, Sep 10: Axis Solutions Limited, a provider of industrial automation, instrumentation and control solutions, in collaboration with Government Engineering College Gandhinagar, today launched an Industry Supported Lab in Instrumentation & Control department. The initiative aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and provide engineering students with practical exposure to technologies and applications used in industrial environments.

The Lab, inaugurated on September 9, will serve as a platform for students and faculty to gain hands-on experience with industrial technologies, while creating opportunities for knowledge exchange between academia and industry. As part of the partnership, Axis Solutions will contribute Industrial, Automation, Analytical and Instrumentation products and system solutions, while GEC Gandhinagar will provide the required facility and infrastructure.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Bijal Sanghvi, Managing Director, Axis Solutions Limited, said,
“The next generation of engineers must be equipped to solve real industrial challenges, not just understand them in theory. This Centre of Excellence is our effort to bring industry closer to the classroom, giving students access to the technologies, applications and practical knowledge that will shape the future of instrumentation and automation. We see this as an investment in talent, innovation and the long-term growth of the industry.”
The Centre will facilitate a range of industry-oriented programmes, including expert and SME sessions, Faculty Development Programmes, student internships and placement initiatives, skill development programmes, industrial study tours and short-term continuing education programmes.
Built around the vision of bridging industry and academia through real-world Instrumentation & Control technology, the Lab will enable students to strengthen their understanding of instrumentation, automation and control systems while gaining insights into their practical application across industrial settings.
The initiative will also foster collaboration in knowledge sharing, applied learning and emerging technologies, bringing together academic expertise and research with Axis Solutions’ industry experience and technological capabilities.
For Axis Solutions, the initiative marks a long-term commitment towards developing industry-ready engineering talent and strengthening the talent ecosystem for India’s evolving instrumentation, automation and industrial technology sectors. Through sustained engagement with academia, the company aims to contribute to building a workforce equipped to meet the changing technological requirements of modern industry.
