From Mumbai roots to a Maharashtra-wide celebration, Chheda’s goes bigger this Ganesh Chaturthi

Mumbai, September 16, 2026: Mumbai and Chheda’s have grown together over decades. Rooted in the city and familiar to generations of Mumbaikars, the brand has been part of its everyday food culture for years. This Ganesh Chaturthi, Chheda’s is taking that familiarity beyond the neighbourhood, with a Maharashtra-wide festive campaign spanning Mumbai, Pune and Nashik.

The move comes as Chheda’s strengthens its sweets portfolio with a dedicated Modak range for the season. The offering includes a 21-piece pack of Kesar Modaks and an 11-piece assorted pack with Malai, Kesar and Rose. Designed for traditional offerings, family gatherings, sharing and gifting, the range brings a contemporary presentation to a much-loved festive staple. Mumbai takes centre stage with Chheda’s making its debut at Lalbaugcha Raja, one of the city’s most iconic Ganesh celebrations. The brand is also bringing the Modak range to the city’s outdoor landscape with a kinetic out of home installation at key locations featuring a giant Chheda’s Modak box that opens and closes, creating a striking visual for passing commuters.

In Pune, the brand is taking a more mobile approach, with full-wrap branding across electric buses, supported by visibility at bus stops and key outdoor locations across the city. In Nashik, Chheda’s will make its first appearance at Nashikcha Raja, extending the festive push into one of the city’s most prominent Ganesh celebrations. The campaign brings together three very different city experiences, from Mumbai’s iconic pandals to Pune’s busy streets and Nashik’s community-led celebrations.

For Chheda’s, the expansion is not just about adding Modaks to its portfolio. It is about taking a familiar name into new festive spaces, while staying close to the traditions and occasions that have always been at the heart of the brand.
