Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 (UDN): The Odisha Government has carried out a minor reshuffle of the Indian Police Service (IPS), transferring and posting four officers to new assignments across the state.

As part of the latest changes, Dr Saravana Vivek M (RR-2015), currently serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Brahmapur, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bhubaneswar.

Saravana Vivek will succeed Jagmohan Meena (RR-2013) as the head of policing in the state capital.

The reshuffle also includes changes in the police districts of Brahmapur and Dhenkanal.

Abhinav Sonkar (RR-2019), presently serving as SP, Dhenkanal, has been transferred and posted as SP, Brahmapur. He will take charge of the district from Saravana Vivek.

In another appointment, A.B. Silpa (RR-2021), currently serving as Assistant Superintendent of Police at the State Police Headquarters, has been posted as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Bargarh.

Meanwhile, Mane Ajinkya Baburao (RR-2022), who is serving as Additional SP, Paradeep, has been transferred and appointed as SP, Dhenkanal.

The latest postings are part of the state government’s ongoing administrative exercise to realign senior police officers across various districts and commissionerate positions.
