Noida , June 8 : Reinforcing its commitment to holistic cancer care, Fortis Hospital Noida, in association with Scars to Glory, organized a Cancer Survivor Meet titled ‘Beyond Cancer”. Stronger Together’ to celebrate the courage and resilience of cancer survivors. The event brought together More than 50 survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to celebrate courage, resilience, and life beyond cancer, while fostering meaningful conversations around survivorship, emotional well-being, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness.

Observed globally on the first Sunday of June, National Cancer Survivors Day serves as a reminder that life after cancer is not only possible, but can be meaningful, fulfilling, and empowering. The event provided a platform for survivors to share their inspiring journeys, connect with others who have faced similar challenges, and draw strength from a supportive community.

The programme featured moving survivor testimonials, expert-led panel discussions, a felicitation ceremony, and wellness workshop focused on stress management, mindfulness, emotional resilience, through guided breathwork and meditation sessions.

Leading oncologists and specialists from Fortis Hospital Noida participated in the event, discussing advancements in cancer treatment, survivorship care, rehabilitation, nutrition, emotional health, and the importance of long-term follow-up. The expert panel included Dr Rajat Bajaj, Director, Medical Oncology; Dr Jalaj Baxi, Director, Surgical Oncology; Dr Kabir Rehmani, Director, Surgical Oncology, Dr Anita Malik, Director, Radiation Oncology; Dr Deepak Kumar Jain, Director, Surgical Oncology; Dr Jyoti Anand, Associate Director, Medical Oncology, Dr Priyanshi Pachauri, Consultant, Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplantation; and Dr Namita Nadar, Chief Dietician.

Speaking at the event, Dr Rajat Bajaj, Director, Medical Oncology, Fortis Hospital Noida, said,
