Elevating Data-Backed Sleep Science and Strengthening India’s Recovery Economy
New Delhi: Science-led nutraceutical brand Be., in partnership with health technology brand Luna, announces the return of The Great Sleep Experiment – Volume II, the second edition of its proprietary sleep performance study. As the only initiative of its kind within India’s supplement ecosystem, the experiment continues Be.’s mission to transform sleep from a subjective wellness aspiration into a measurable, optimisable biological function, reinforcing Be. ON DND as a hero formulation for sleep and recovery.

Building on the foundation laid by Volume I, the 2nd edition deepens the experiment’s scientific framework by combining consistent supplementation with biometric monitoring through the Luna Ring. By analysing real-world sleep behaviour before and during the use of Be. ON DND, the Luna ring continuously tracks measurable shifts across critical recovery indicators, including REM sleep, deep sleep, resting heart rate, oxygen saturation, and overall sleep efficiency.
The first edition of the experiment established the foundation for what is now India’s most data-driven sleep initiative. Across participating users, the study tracked over 600 hours of sleep, identified more than 320 hours of disturbed sleep, and corrected over 240 hours of disrupted rest through structured intervention and monitoring through the Luna Ring. Volume II expands this framework further, strengthening the evidence base behind Be. ON DND while deepening the brand’s understanding of how sleep, recovery, and supplementation interact under real-world conditions.
At its core, The Great Sleep Experiment – Volume II rigorously examines the difference between habitual, unsupplemented sleep and optimised sleep supported by consistent use of Be. ON DND. Using PPG sensors and proprietary algorithms, the ring continuously captures physiological signals throughout the night, translating them into the detailed insights about sleep stages, recovery patterns and overall sleep efficiency. The Great Sleep Experiment marks one of the first instances of an Indian wellness brand putting its recovery formulations to test through real-world biometric tracking with athletes and high-performance individuals. By combining supplementation with wearable data, the initiative moves beyond anecdotal testimonials to generate credible performance insights, continuously informing product optimisation while reinforcing Be. ON DND as a sleep and recovery solution built on measurable results.
Early consolidated findings from Volume II indicate:
-
Average REM Sleep Improvement: Upto +16% for top responders
-
Increase in Deep Sleep Duration: Upto +57 mins for top responders
-
Increase in Total Sleep Time: +28 min/night
-
Reduction in Resting Heart Rate: -2.2 bpm for top responders
-
Improvement in Overall Sleep Score: +2.1 points (6 of 9 improved)
-
Improvement in Average SpO₂ Levels: Remained the same throughout the study, as is expected
Commenting on the launch, Deeksha Rajani, Founder & CEO of Be., said, “The Great Sleep Experiment was created because we believe wellness brands should be accountable for the claims they make. In a category where products are often marketed through testimonials and trends, we wanted to do something fundamentally different, put our formulation into the real world, track the data, and share the results transparently. This experiment is our way of proving that recovery solutions can and should be measurable. For Be., it reflects the kind of brand we are building: one that leads with science, backs its claims with evidence, and raises the standard for what wellness in India should look like.”
“Be. ON DND was formulated with a pharmaceutical discipline, using clinically relevant ingredients and dosages designed to support real physiological recovery during sleep. The Great Sleep Experiment exists to validate that work in the real world. By measuring changes in REM sleep, and recovery markers, we can demonstrate the efficacy of the formulation through objective data. For me, this is about proving that when supplements are built with scientific rigour, their impact on the body can be observed, measured, and trusted.” says Atul Rajani, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Be.
“As a health technology company, we believe better health decisions start with better data. The Luna Ring is designed to track sleep with a high degree of accuracy, analysing sleep stages alongside key biomarkers such as heart rate variability, resting heart rate, temperature trends, oxygen saturation and movement patterns. That’s what makes The Great Sleep Experiment so compelling for us. It allows us to study how a real-world intervention like supplementation can influence sleep architecture and recovery using objective physiological data, not just perception.” Says Amit Khatri, Founder of Luna.
As a returning partner from Volume I, Luna brings continuity and scientific integrity to the experiment. The use of the same wearable ecosystem ensures consistency in data capture, enabling clean before–and–after analysis and comparable insights across editions. This continuity strengthens the reliability of the findings while laying the groundwork for long-term sleep performance research in India.
Beyond the data itself, the partnership reflects a shared belief between Be. and LUNA: that the future of wellness will be defined not by promises, but by observable outcomes. Together, the two brands continue to build one of India’s most credible sleep and recovery initiatives, a platform grounded in data, transparency, and the pursuit of better biological performance.
