New Delhi, Apr 08: Marking the occasion of World Health Day, Pushpanjali Medical Centre along with Femme Nest Hospital organised a special session under its flagship “Pushpanjali Study Circle,” bringing together leading medical professionals to promote awareness around holistic health and well-being. The session centered on the theme, “A healthy lifestyle not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and mood,” highlighting the far-reaching impact of everyday lifestyle choices on overall health.
The session was inaugurated by Dr. Neelam Lekhi, President of the Delhi Medical Association, who emphasised the growing importance of preventive healthcare in today’s fast-paced world. The event witnessed active participation from healthcare professionals and practitioners, fostering an engaging platform for knowledge exchange and discussion on integrating healthier habits into daily life. The session was chaired by Dr. Parkash Gera and Dr. Neeraj Jain from Pushpanjali Medical Centre, who guided the discussions and highlighted the need for continuous medical education and awareness initiatives.
Speaking during the session, Dr. Anshuman Kumar, Principal Director & Chief – Onco-surgery, C3 Healthcare and Max Hospital Noida, highlighted the critical importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle in today’s environment, he said “Lifestyle-related diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders, are increasingly affecting people due to poor dietary habits, lack of physical activity, stress, and environmental factors. I believe that good health goes beyond the absence of disease and reflects a state of complete physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I would emphasise that individuals can significantly reduce health risks and improve their quality of life by adopting small, consistent changes such as maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, getting adequate sleep, and managing stress effectively. I also encourage everyone to prioritise regular health check-ups and early screenings, as these enable early diagnosis and lead to better treatment outcomes.”
The session delved into various aspects of healthy living, including nutrition, mental well-being, physical fitness, and preventive healthcare. Experts discussed how modern lifestyles have contributed to rising health challenges and reiterated the need to shift focus from treatment to prevention. The interactive nature of the session allowed participants to share insights and practical strategies for encouraging healthier communities.
Concluding the session, Dr. Vinay Aggarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Pushpanjali Medical Centre said, “Adopting a healthy lifestyle is a long-term commitment that requires discipline, awareness, and collective effort. While medical advancements have made treatments more accessible, I strongly believe that true wellness lies in prevention and self-care. We must take responsibility for our own health by making informed choices, staying active, and maintaining a positive mindset. A healthier society can only be built when awareness translates into meaningful action at both individual and community levels.”
The event concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing the message that a healthy lifestyle is the foundation of a healthier and happier life. Through initiatives like the Pushpanjali Study Circle, Pushpanjali Medical Centre and Femme Nest Hospital continue to promote awareness, education, and proactive healthcare, contributing towards building a more health-conscious society.
