Kolkata, 09th October, 2026: Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad is set to host its grand Dussehra Celebration & Ravan Dahan 2026 at Central Park, Salt Lake on 20th October. The celebration will expect the presence of the cast of the upcoming mega film ‘Ramayana’, with Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Shri Suvendu Adhikari also set to attend.

This year will be centred around the theme “Ram Er Ayodhya – Ram Ki Ayodhya” and, for the first time, will bring together a grand Durga Puja celebration with the Sansad’s annual Ravan Dahan. With support of the Chief Minister of West Bengal Shri Suvendu Adhikari and Shri Lalit Beriwala, Trust Board chairman Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad and Director of Shyam Steel and Macaw Paints, will bring together the cultural spirit of Maa Durga and Shri Ram at one of Kolkata’s largest festive gatherings. The organisation has been hosting its annual Dussehra celebrations at Central Park for 14 years, drawing large crowds to the city’s festive calendar. 

The celebration will commence with the inauguration on 15th October and conclude with the grand Ravan Dahan on 20th October, with a series of programmes and activities lined up across the six-day period. Expected to witness 70 lakh+ people to Central Park, the festivities will include a larger-than-life Shri Ram Murti, alongside a massive drone show and the 60-ft Ravan Dahan, as well as celebrity participation and other cultural attractions.

The presence of the ‘Ramayana’ team will add a special dimension to the celebrations, complementing the “Ram Er Ayodhya – Ram Ki Ayodhya” theme and connecting the timeless story of Shri Ram with its contemporary cinematic interpretation.
