Bhubaneswar, Sept. 22 (UDN): The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has postponed the Upper Primary Scholarship Examination-2026 for Class V students in view of the cyclonic weather conditions associated with Cyclone ‘Arnav’.

The examination, originally scheduled for September 24, will now be held on October 3 (Saturday) from 10 am to 12 noon, according to an official notification issued by the Board.

The revised schedule supersedes the earlier examination programme announced under the Board’s notification dated July 27, 2026.

BSE Odisha said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure considering the prevailing weather situation and advised students, schools and examination authorities to take note of the revised date and make necessary arrangements.

The scholarship examination is conducted for Class V students across the state to identify eligible candidates for financial assistance under the Upper Primary Scholarship programme.
