Bhubaneswar, Sept. 19 (UDN): Commuters travelling through central Bhubaneswar will face traffic diversions around the Odisha Legislative Assembly from September 22 to October 3, as the Commissionerate Police has issued a special traffic advisory for the seventh Session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly.

The restrictions, enforced under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003, along with Regulation 36 of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulation, 2008, will remain in effect on all days when the Assembly is in session.
Key Traffic Diversions
Police have announced the following route changes during the Assembly proceedings:
Vehicles travelling from Housing Board Square towards Rabindra Mandap will be diverted at Keshari Talkies Square.
Traffic moving from AG Square to PMG must turn right at Jaydev Bhawan and continue via IG Park Road.
Vehicles approaching PMG from Master Canteen will be rerouted through adjoining lanes near Lower PMG.
Traffic from 120 Infantry Battalion Square will not be permitted towards Rabindra Mandap and will instead be diverted towards Power House Square.
Vehicles travelling from Lok Bhawan Square towards MLA Colony and Rabindra Mandap will be redirected at 120 Battalion Square via Sastrinagar Square.
Exempted Vehicles
The restrictions will not apply to emergency services, including police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles. Vehicles authorised to access official establishments such as the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Lokseva Bhawan, and other government offices in the area will also be exempt.
The Commissionerate Police has urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance and follow the notified diversions to avoid congestion around the Assembly and Secretariat area during the session.
