Village Meetings, Student Outreach Drive Awareness
According to official figures, more than 45,200 people have participated in awareness meetings organised at the village level during the ongoing campaign.
Another 47,300-plus students have been sensitised through programmes conducted in schools and colleges, helping extend HIV and STI awareness among younger sections of the population.
The campaign has also taken information directly to households, with more than 14,600 people reached through door-to-door outreach.
Focus on Facts, Prevention and Myth-Busting
The statewide initiative is being carried out through Gram Panchayat-level meetings, educational institution programmes and direct community engagement.
A key focus of the campaign is to counter myths and misconceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS and STIs by providing people with accurate and scientifically backed information.
Officials are also emphasising the importance of preventive practices and greater public awareness to reduce the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.
With activities continuing across different parts of Odisha, the campaign aims to ensure that accurate information reaches communities at the grassroots level and contributes to a more informed and stigma-free approach to HIV/AIDS.
