Noida, Aug 31: IMS Design & Innovation Academy, located in Sector 62, Noida, organised its orientation programme ‘Prarambh-2026’ for the newly admitted students. The programme provided students with an opportunity to interact with experts from the design industry, gain insights from their professional experiences, and understand the evolving needs and expectations of the industry.

The programme was attended by IMS-DIA Dean Professor Dr. M.K.V. Nair, along with faculty members of the institution. The orientation aimed to familiarise students with the academic environment and inspire them to approach their design education with creativity, curiosity and a strong sense of purpose.
Addressing the students, IMS-DIA CMD Ms. Shilpi Gupta emphasised the importance of continuous learning. She said,
“Learning is not confined to any particular place, time or situation. The process of learning can continue anywhere and at any stage of life. With the right attitude and curiosity, every situation can become an opportunity to learn something new. The successful designer of tomorrow will be one who understands changing times and evolving needs and uses creative skills to develop meaningful solutions to the challenges faced by society.”
Vice President Mr. Chirag Gupta urged students to maintain a creative and positive outlook throughout their academic journey. He said,
“An institution acts as a foundation stone in a student’s life. Regular study, a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge, effective time management and consistent effort are the key to success.” He also administered a professional responsibility oath to the students, encouraging them to commit themselves to fulfilling their responsibilities with honesty and integrity and to use their skills for the benefit of the nation and society.”
Welcoming the new students, Dean Professor Dr. M.K.V. Nair briefed them about the institution’s academic structure, curriculum and upcoming activities. He said,
“Design is not merely an art or a profession; it is an integral part of everyday life. Design is for everyone and has the power to influence and improve the lives of people. Student life is the time to lay the foundation for future success through discipline, hard work and dedication. If you embrace every opportunity to learn with sincerity, you can build a distinctive identity not only in the design industry but also in society at large.”
The orientation programme marked an inspiring beginning to the students’ academic journey at IMS-DIA, encouraging them to explore their creative potential, develop professional skills and prepare themselves to contribute meaningfully to the rapidly evolving design industry.
