Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 (UDN): The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has announced that the Summative Assessment-I for students from Shishu Vatika-III to Class VIII will be conducted in the fourth week of September 2026 across all government and government-aided schools in the state.

The authority has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Project Coordinators (DPCs) to complete the examination within the stipulated timeframe and ensure uniform implementation across districts.

Schools Directed to Follow Assessment Framework

In an official directive, OSEPA instructed schools to strictly adhere to the Assessment Framework for School Education while conducting the examinations.

The authority has asked district-level officials to make all necessary arrangements, including examination planning, supervision and evaluation, to ensure the assessments are held smoothly and without delay.

Uniform Assessment Across the State

The Summative Assessment-I will cover students from the foundational stage, including Shishu Vatika-III, up to Class VIII, and will be conducted simultaneously in government and government-aided schools throughout Odisha.

Officials said the guidelines are intended to maintain uniformity in the assessment process and ensure that the examinations are completed as scheduled during the fourth week of September.
