Bhubaneswar, Aug. 21 (UDN): On the occasion of World Senior Citizens Day, Chief Minister extended heartfelt greetings and profound respect to senior citizens across Odisha, acknowledging their invaluable contributions in shaping families, communities, and society.

In his message, the Chief Minister said that the wisdom, experience, and lifelong service of elders remain a guiding force for future generations and play a vital role in building a compassionate and progressive society.
Reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to ensuring the dignity, health, and well-being of senior citizens, he highlighted several welfare initiatives, including the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana, Baristha Nagarika Tirtha Yatra Yojana, and enhanced social security pensions, aimed at providing healthcare access, financial security, and opportunities for spiritual fulfilment.
The Chief Minister called upon people from all walks of life to work together to create a more inclusive and elder-friendly Odisha, where every senior citizen is treated with respect, care, and dignity.
“Let us continue to build an Odisha where our elders are valued, protected, and supported at every stage of life, ensuring they live with happiness, security, and honour,” he said.
