The arrival of the Zebra, famous for its striking black-and-white stripes, graceful movement and strong social behaviour, is expected to become a major attraction for visitors. Native to Africa, zebras are among the continent’s most recognisable wild animals and will offer visitors a closer glimpse into African wildlife.

Joining the new arrivals will be the Red Kangaroo, Australia’s largest marsupial and an iconic symbol of the country. Known for its powerful hind legs, impressive leaps and distinctive pouch, the Red Kangaroo is expected to draw the attention of children, students and wildlife lovers alike.

The addition of these two species is part of Nandankanan’s continued efforts to diversify its animal collection and enrich the visitor experience. The expanded enclosure will allow tourists to observe wildlife from different continents while promoting awareness about biodiversity and conservation.

Already recognised as one of India’s leading zoological parks, Nandankanan has consistently introduced new initiatives to improve animal care and provide engaging experiences for visitors. The inclusion of Zebras and Red Kangaroos is expected to further strengthen its reputation as a premier wildlife destination.

Once the new animals arrive and complete the required acclimatisation process, visitors will have the opportunity to witness these fascinating species up close, making a trip to Nandankanan even more memorable.
