Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 (UDN): President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to travel from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur by a special Presidential train on Tuesday as part of her three-day visit to Odisha.

The President arrived in the state aboard a special train from New Delhi. Her onward rail journey from Bhubaneswar to Berhampur is expected to take around two hours and ten minutes. As part of the security protocol, two escort trains will operate ahead of and behind the Presidential train throughout the journey.

After reaching Berhampur, President Murmu will travel approximately 80 kilometres by road to Taptapani, where she is scheduled to offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple.

Following the temple visit, she will return to Berhampur and stay overnight at the Army Air Defence College. She is expected to return to Bhubaneswar by the special train on Wednesday.

Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place for the President’s visit. Personnel from the Odisha Police, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and other central security agencies have been deployed along the railway route, road corridors and programme venues to ensure smooth movement and public safety.

On the first day of her Odisha visit, President Murmu inaugurated the Jagadguru Kripalu University at Banki in Cuttack district, marking the beginning of her official engagements in the state.
