Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 (UDN): The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has recorded a strong performance in its 2025-26 campus placement season, with more than 500 students securing job offers across a wide range of industries.

According to the institute, over 85 per cent of undergraduate (UG) students and 71 per cent of postgraduate (PG) students were successfully placed during the recruitment drive. The median annual package stood at Rs 15.3 lakh for UG students and Rs 11.2 lakh for PG students. A number of students also received international placement offers, reflecting the institute’s growing global industry presence.
The placement season commenced in October 2025 and concluded in July 2026, attracting recruiters from sectors such as information technology, software, consulting, manufacturing, semiconductors, oil and gas, mining, and financial technology.
Several prominent public sector undertakings (PSUs), including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Engineers India Limited (EIL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), participated in the recruitment process.
The campus also witnessed strong participation from leading private companies, including Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, Reliance Industries, D. E. Shaw, Accenture, Cisco, Samsung R&D, Visa, Flipkart, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, and Skyroot Aerospace, among others.
Commenting on the achievement, IIT Bhubaneswar Director Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar said the institute remains focused on nurturing industry-ready graduates while encouraging innovation and problem-solving to address real-world challenges.
Professor-in-Charge of the Career Development Cell, Prof. Srikant Gollapudi, said the institute continues to strengthen collaborations with industry partners to expand career opportunities and improve placement outcomes for students.
The latest placement figures highlight IIT Bhubaneswar’s growing reputation among recruiters and its continued success in preparing students for careers across emerging and established sectors.
