Highlighting key initiatives, the government noted that reservation for Scheduled Tribes has been increased to 22.5 per cent, aimed at ensuring greater representation and access to education, employment, and other opportunities for tribal communities.

To promote and preserve Odisha’s rich tribal heritage, the government has also announced financial assistance of ₹50 lakh each for the establishment of Adivasi Sanskrutik Bhawans in all 121 Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) blocks across the state. These cultural centres are expected to serve as hubs for preserving tribal traditions, art, language, and community activities.

Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of the concerned bodies have been urged to ensure the effective implementation and saturation of welfare schemes so that the intended benefits reach every eligible beneficiary in tribal areas.

The government stressed the need for coordinated efforts to accelerate the delivery of development programmes, improve the quality of life in tribal regions, and safeguard the unique cultural identity of indigenous communities.

Reiterating its vision of building a Viksit Odisha, the government said inclusive development and the empowerment of tribal communities remain central to its governance agenda, with a focus on sustainable growth, social justice, and cultural preservation.
