Bhubaneswar (UDN): Bhubaneswar Member of Parliament Aparajita Sarangi has sanctioned ₹1 crore from the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for various development projects aimed at improving public infrastructure and civic amenities in her constituency.
According to official sources, the funds will be utilised for the creation and upgradation of essential public assets, including community infrastructure, educational facilities, sanitation, drinking water, roads and other development works based on local requirements.
The allocation is expected to support projects that address the immediate needs of residents while contributing to the overall development of the constituency. The implementation of the sanctioned works will be carried out by the designated executing agencies in accordance with the MPLADS guidelines.
Sarangi said the funds have been earmarked to strengthen grassroots infrastructure and improve public services, with priority being given to projects that directly benefit local communities.
The MPLADS scheme enables Members of Parliament to recommend development works that create durable community assets and improve the quality of life of people in their constituencies. Officials said the sanctioned projects will be taken up for execution after completion of the necessary administrative formalities.
