Malkangiri, June 29 (UDN): In a significant breakthrough in anti-Maoist operations, Malkangiri Police have recovered a large quantity of Maoist-related materials during a special search operation along the Andhra-Odisha border.
Acting on intelligence inputs regarding the movement of Left Wing Extremist cadres in the border region, police launched a targeted operation in the forested and remote areas. During the search, officers recovered Maoist materials suspected to be used for organisational and operational activities.
The seized items include daily-use supplies, communication materials and other logistics support items believed to have been concealed for use by Maoist cadres operating in the region.
Police officials described the seizure as a major success in ongoing efforts to curb Maoist activities in the district and disrupt their support network in border areas.
Security forces have intensified combing operations in the region to trace the presence of Maoist operatives and dismantle their supply chains. Further investigation is underway to identify those involved in the logistics and movement of the materials.
