Keonjhar, June 18 (UDN): Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling escaped unhurt after the vehicle carrying him was involved in a road accident on National Highway-49 near Jagamohanpur Square under Telkoi police limits in Keonjhar district on Thursday.
The incident occurred while the Minister was travelling from Sambalpur to Mayurbhanj as part of his official tour. According to preliminary reports, the pilot vehicle leading the Minister’s convoy applied sudden brakes near a speed breaker, causing the Minister’s vehicle following behind to collide with it.
Despite the impact, Minister Mahaling and other occupants of the vehicle were unharmed. Following the incident, the Minister continued his journey to Mayurbhanj in another vehicle.
Local authorities reached the spot and initiated an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the accident. Further details are awaited.
