Bhubaneswar, June 17 (UDN): Reaffirming its commitment to youth-led development, the Odisha Government has highlighted a series of initiatives undertaken over the past two years to create employment opportunities, enhance skills, and empower young people across the state.

The government stated that youth are not only the future of Odisha but also the driving force behind the state’s present growth and transformation. Emphasizing its vision of linking aspirations with opportunities, the administration has focused on expanding access to employment, skill development, and entrepreneurship.

According to the government, more than 44,000 government jobs have been created through transparent recruitment processes during the last two years. In addition, industrial investments and development initiatives have generated the potential for over five lakh employment opportunities, providing a significant boost to Odisha’s economy and workforce.

The government noted that its policies are aimed at equipping young people with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving economic landscape. Special emphasis has been placed on strengthening skill development infrastructure, improving employability, and creating avenues for youth participation in emerging sectors.

Highlighting the progress made under the banner of “Lokanka Sarkar”, the government reiterated that youth empowerment remains central to its development agenda. It asserted that an empowered and skilled youth population is essential for building a prosperous, self-reliant, and future-ready Odisha.
