Goa, Mar 23: Reinforcing its evolution beyond a leisure destination, Goa Tourism successfully hosted the YAI All India Windsurfing & Kiteboarding Championship 2026, transforming the scenic shores of Morjim into a vibrant hub of adventure sports.

 Spanning five days, the championship brought together some of India’s top windsurfing and kiteboarding athletes, turning the coastline into a high-energy arena of speed, skill, and adrenaline. The event highlighted Goa’s growing appeal as a destination for experience-driven travel and water sports tourism.

A key highlight of the championship was the presence of Hon’ble Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, who not only attended the event but also actively participated in kiteboarding. His hands-on involvement and interaction with athletes underscored the state government’s commitment to promoting adventure tourism and positioning Goa as a premier destination for water sports.
